Revamping the UX/UI design of the Fine Arts Reading Room

Concept

The Fine Arts Reading Room is a student-run library and resource centre. The room provides access to computers, printers and loans a collection of historical and contemporary art publications. Students also have access to funding through an annual residency project as well as small publishing grants.

At Concordia University, I participated in a project where we were tasked with revamping the UX/UI design of the Fine Arts Reading Room.

The objective of this project was to enhance their visual identity and existing website through a visual update. It involved integrating new animation features to create a friendly and functional user interface and user experience that is visually appealing and user-friendly. Additionally, a dedicated section was added to showcase their archived works, and a dynamic hub was implemented to facilitate the sharing and hosting of social content, including livestreams. The result is a comprehensive digital solution that elevates their online presence, offering an engaging and seamless experience for users.
